Dr. Benavidez has been responsible for massive programming efforts in the areas of mental health, school counseling, and school safety. In this capacity she has served 2 million students across 325 school districts. She is a lifelong learner whose mission is to change the world one educator at a time.
She has a passion for foreign education and has written two books that address the strife, journey, and academics of foreign-born students. This work has been recognized in a variety of capacities at both the state and national levels. Dr. Benavidez has extensively researched global education practices, alignment, and cultural norms throughout her career.
Dr. Benavidez’ work in overseeing transcripts and supporting with newcomer student efforts comes from her background as a bilingual teacher, counselor, lead counselor, counseling consultant, counselor coach, administrator, director and executive director of guidance and counseling. Alongside Immigr8, she leads her sister company, Educ8Ed, which specializes on niche district needs.
Additionally, she is an executive committee member on multiple education boards focused around College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.
